Karls Fields Field of Dreams Complex

U8 Program

U7/U8 Soccer is typically for 1st and 2nd grade children.
This program is recreational soccer for every child - the emphasis is on learning - how to play as a team, how the game is played,  some basic rules and having fun - this is not about competition and wins/loses.  Coaches are instructed to give every child equal playing time, at every position on the field - this level is about learning and having fun!!!!

WHEN: Games are on Saturdays - Fall season begins the week after Labor Day and runs through the end of October and the Spring season begins mid-April and runs through the second week of June.
WHERE: Half the games are played at home (Karls Fields in Kiel) and half are played away in neighboring towns (New Holstein, Elkhart Lake, Howards Grove, Plymouth, Sheboygan Falls, Sheboygan, Kohler). Fall and spring session are registered for separately, so you can choose to participate both seasons or only one season per year.
EQUIPMENT:  Children need to have shin guards, long socks that cover the shin guard, shorts or pants without pockets, soccer cleats are recommended (gym shoe will still be allowed for play) and children should bring drinking water to all practices and games.   A team t-shirt will be provided for each season the child is registered.
The club provides balls for practices and games, but these are never to be taken home.
COACHES: are volunteers and parents - the club does offer a coaching session before each season to offer helpful insights.  Why not volunteer to coach and grow in the sport right along side your child - many of our best coaches started off coaching at this level.  If you are interested in taking coaching classes, click on the coaches tab on this website for more information - youth level 1 and 2 are free.
