U8 - U10 Home Page
The Kiel Soccer Club U8-U10 program continues the tradition of
youth development by introducing competitive play through recreational league
rules. The focus is on learning the game with emphasis on skills and fun.
By combining structured field play with fundamentals, foundational soccer
develops into team play.
The mission of the U8-U10 is to further build on the learned
skills of the Kindergarten program, introduce structured play, and expose the
teams to competitive play.

When do U8-U10 players play? |
The U8-U10 players play from 8:00 - 12:00 Saturdays from late April through
June. |

Where do U8-U10 players play? |
U8-U10 players play at Karls Field. Changes in venue will be
communicated through the coaches. |

How many players are on a team? |
Most teams are made up of 8-10 players. |
|
How many players are on the field? |
The format is 6V6 - 5V5 plus a goal keeper. |
|
Do you keep track of the score? |
No. This age group focuses on development and enjoyment of the game. |

How much does it cost? |

What equipment does my U8-U10 player need? |
Soccer generally requires shin guards for safety, and cleats are recommended,
however tennis shoes are an acceptable alternative. Game balls are provided by
the club, however, practice balls are provided by the players. |

Are there special cleats? |
Yes. Soccer cleats have two cleats on the toe. Single toe cleats are
for baseball and football. These can not be used on the soccer field. |

Does my U8-U10 player need a uniform? |
The Kiel Soccer Club will provide a uniform shirt for players that have
registered prior to the registration dead-line. |

Who is my players coach? |
The coaching is generally done by adults assisted by high school players. |
|
Is there a picture day? |
Yes. Dates will follow. |
