Licenses and Requirements

SafeSport

Required

All coaches, staff, and adult within the club must successfully complete SafeSport training.  This training focuses on child safety, preventing abuse, what to do if abuse is identified and player health.


THIS IS REQUIRED to participate in the KSC and interact with youth players - without exception.


Prior to Taking the Course

Wisconsin Soccer has set this up to be renewed by all participants in July of every year.  To get your no cost code email registrar@kielsoccer.com.  When you have the code, use the link below to access your training.


Upon Completion of the Course:

  1. Download your certificate and save it. 
  2. Go into PlayMetrics
  3. Switch profile from KSC Coach or Player Contact to WYSA Member
  4. Follow directions on screen.
  5. Submit receipt of payment and successful completion to Treasurer@KielSoccer.com for reimbursement


US Soccer Learning

Background Check

Required

All coaches staff members and anyone in contact with the club's youth must successfully pass a background check conducted by US Soccer.


THIS IS REQUIRED to participate in the KSC and interact with youth players - without exception.


Taking the Course

  1. Login to US Soccer Learning
  2. Click Dashboard
  3. Typically this is under Phase 3 right after SafeSport and Youth Protection training.
  4. You will need your address and SSN. 


Upon Completion of the Course:

  1. There is no certificate to download
  2. Go into PlayMetrics
  3. Switch profile from KSC Coach or Player Contact to WYSA Member
  4. Follow the directions on the screen
  5. Submit receipt of payment and successful completion to Treasurer@KielSoccer.com for reimbursement
US Soccer Learning

Coaching Licenses

For those coaches looking to coach a competitive team a coaching license is required.  This license is tied to your profile and is checked by referees before any competitive level game.


Required Licenses for Competitive

  • Grassroots 9 v 9 - required for 12U teams
  • Grassroots 11v11 - required for 13U and 14U teams


Licenses are achieved through US Soccer Learning.


Once complete download your license, save it for your records and then upload to PlayMetrics:
